This Christmas the Jr. High Student Council decided to have a friendly contest between grade levels for Christmas decorating. Each hallway got a theme based on a popular Christmas movie. The Pre-k to Kindergarten hallway had Rudolph.
The 1st to 3rd Grade hallway had Frosty the Snowman.
The 4th and 5th Grade had The Grinch.
The Jr. High had Polar Express.
Thanks to everyone who participated. The hallways look great! Merry Christmas!
Before Thanksgiving break the students got to meet one of our former Exchange Students from Denmark. Marianne Toft Spiel and I have been friends since our senior year in high school and she came back with her daughter for a visit and to spend Thanksgiving with my family. She brought all my students a surprise, Danish licorice. I had the pleasure of tasting this long ago and was so glad she brought some with her. The general consensus was that it tasted like sweaty socks: ) Thanks for the treat Marianne!
The Student Council decided to make the last home game for the 8th Grade Girls Bball team Blackout Night. They had a great game and several students came to support them. They will play Thursday, December 6th for Regionals. GO KNIGHTS!
Last Friday the Jr. High Student Council hosted a Friday Fright night for the 7th and 8th Grade students. Mr. and Mrs. Vanausdoll each took a room, scary and non scary😆Beetlejuice and Before I Wake were the movies the student council chose. There were lots of laughs and screams. We can't wait to have another movie night at Christmas. Thanks to all the students who showed up!
This Thursday I had a volleyball free evening and decided to go watch my 8th Grade students play some basketball. They are a great group of girls that my husband coached in 5th and 6th Grade. I am so glad I went to watch these girls play. LSA didn't stand a chance against them. They are now 10-0. What an accomplishment! These girls are great in the classroom and on the court. I hope I can make a few more games before the season is over. Go Knights!
