Homecoming Spirit- Disney Duo Day

Today was also Disney Duo Day and we had some great participation!

SYATP- See You at the Pole

This morning the students at AGS hosted SYATP. They gathered around our flag pole and prayed for our teachers, school, and friends. Generous donors supplied t-shirts, bracelets, and doughnuts for all who participated. Thanks to the students who helped plan the event!

The Gift of the Magi

The past week or so in Reading class we have been talking about gifts. We read the short story, The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry. The students listed some of their gifts in the categories below. It was great to see what they felt was most valuable to them, and hear about their most humorous gifts.

Knights Choose Kindness

This year our district wide theme is Knights Choose Kindness. We have this board at the end of our Jr. High hallway for students to add ways their classmates have shown them kindness. We are hoping for 100 by Christmas!

Welcome to the Classroom

Hello everyone! My name is Mrs. Vanausdoll. I wanted to try something new this year that could connect students, parents, and myself. This will be mostly trial and error. I hope to post assignments and activities throughout the year. It is also my hope to involve students in the blog. This could mean that they post updates, take pictures, and even manage the site with me. This blog will mostly show off student work and activities at school. Google Classroom will be used for updates on daily assignments. I hope you check in regularly to see what the students and I come up with!
