Dodgeball 2019

We had our annual Dodgeball Tournament April 12th. There were 5 teams for 7th and 8th Grade. We had a pizza break this year and everyone had a blast! See you all next year!

Final Book Club Meeting

For our final book club meeting we were able to meet at Los Gallos. It was a great way to end the last few months of hard work and fun. Thanks to all the students who participated!

Book Club Night

Last month our book club participants celebrated the end of the book by watching Five Feet Apart at the Mattoon AMC. We ate at Freddy's before heading to the movie. It was a great night and a great movie!

Book Club

A generous donor from the Vine Street Christian Church donated $100. We decided to start an 8th Grade Book Club! We are reading I am Number Four and Five Feet Apart. We have a few more weeks of meetings and then we are going to watch the movies. Thanks VSCC members you rock!

Christmas Fun

Christmas at AGS

This Christmas the Jr. High Student Council decided to have a friendly contest between grade levels for Christmas decorating. Each hallway got a theme based on a popular Christmas movie. The Pre-k to Kindergarten hallway had Rudolph.

The 1st to 3rd Grade hallway had Frosty the Snowman.

The 4th and 5th Grade had The Grinch.

The Jr. High had Polar Express.

8th Grade Girls Basketball

Last week the 8th Grade girls finished their basketball season. Hard work and dedication paid off for them this season. The Knights finished with a 19-2 record.
